Seventeenth Week Blog Post for Project

Project Blog Week Seventeenth:

This is my seventeenth blog post for my modelling project continuing where I left off on the previous post. I decided that my first task was to duplicate the lion that I had already created, but this time I did not need to select the mane or the fur at the end of the tail, as I was going to create a cheetah.  After this was done I duplicated it two more times for an elephant and a goat. For the colour scheme of the lion I chose brown for the body area with a white mouth and ears, as for the eyes I decided on a glossy black to make them look a bit more lifelike. The second task was to create an elephant but as it was duplicated that basic shape was already in place, although it had a mouth section which was not needed for the toy elephant, so I simply removed it to allow space for the trunk. The trunk was made out of two cylinders one slightly facing upwards, these I shaped and then put together to form the trunk. Next the tusks were created using cones which I thinned down. The black eyes had been duplicated from the lion, so I decided that as they also looked good on the elephant I would leave them in place. Lastly I shaped the ears using the proportional editing tool to make them the traditional elephant size and shape. The final task was to add colour to this toy elephant. For the main body and the back of the ears I chose a  light grey, the tusks were coloured using a diffused white material and finally I coloured the inside of the ears pink to make it seem more toy-like.
