Twenty Seven Week Blog Post for Project

Image
Project Blog Week Twenty Seven: This  is my twenty seventh blog post for my modelling project, o n the previous blog post I had setup animation for most of the toys. I have now completed this by animating the teddy bears and soft toy elephants, for this I added in a ball for them the throw to each other. I also animated the four animals without fur making them charge toward the camera. This is the last blog post for my project as I only had to put in the final touches and then render all of the scenes. Firstly I decided to dull down the cars and the trucks because I wanted them to look more like plastic toys and not so metallic. As well as this I grouped all of the objects that I had made into seven scenes, which I will talk about in more detail in my power point. Secondly I had to set up all the backgrounds for each of the scenes, then I went on to check the lighting in all of my prepared scenes, making sure that the light was correct so that all of the objects could be clea...

Twenty Six Week Blog Post for Project

Project Blog Week Twenty Six: This  is my twenty sixth blog post for my modelling project, on the previous blog post I had setup animation for all of the toys that I could animate. I only had four toys that were static and I wasn't sure how I could animate them. The static toys are two soft toy elephants, three teddy bears, the children's toy mobile phones and four toy animals that have no fur just colour. The bears and elephants are limited in their movement due to the way they have been created and with the mobile phones I hadn't got many options for animating them, as the way they were created meant they could only really be static, otherwise it would give the objects a weird and irrelevant  animation. Finally the toys without fur were created to look big and bulky which again means they have limited movement for animation, so I wasn't sure what I could do. I looked at the soft toy elephants again and thought I could add sound to make them more interesting than ...

Twenty Five Week Blog Post for Project

Image
Project Blog Week Twenty Five: This  is my twenty fifth blog post for my modelling project, o n the  previous blog post I had completed all of the toys that I needed to make for my toy shop scene.  I now decided to move on to animating some of these toys so that they would really standout. I had  already     a nimated the two UFO's and the train. The train simply moves across the screen and so does one of the UFOs, the other UFO has a little alien coming out of the space ship and descending to the ground, he observes the area around him and then  goes back up into his ship. The first toys I decided to animate were my three aeroplanes which I did simply by making one take off and the other two land. After this I moved on to the toy cars that I had made for young children and decided it would be a good idea for the cars to race each other. I also did this for the more advanced remote controlled sports cars, as well as this I tilted th...

Twenty Four Week Blog Post for Project

Image
Project Blog Week Twenty Four: This  is my twenty fourth blog post for my modelling project, o n the  previous blog post I had completed the two toy trucks to go in to the toy shop scene, I now decided to move on to create another toy. I looked at all of the toys I had already made and I realized that I didn't have many toys for girls, so I thought it would be a good to create one although I hadn't got any idea of what toy to make. I went on to the internet to see what toy I could create and I found soft toy elephants which were for young girls, so I decided to go with this toy. I started to create one of these elephants in the same way I created the teddy bears, simply because they were both in a sitting position and I thought it made sense to use the same tutorial again to help me make the basic body shape and the fur, leaving me to make the other bits from scratch. The first task, like the bears, was for me to create spheres for the head, body, legs, eyes and ears. I t...

Twenty Three Week Blog Post for Project

Project Blog Week Twenty Three: This  is my twenty third blog post for my modelling project. On the  previous blog post I had decided to make a toy dumper truck which I had started to create, in this post I continued were I left off from last time. The first task to complete this truck was to create the doors on the cab by outlining them, for this I used the same technique I had used for outlining the widows, I coloured them in the same yellow as the cab to make them blend in. The container was made out of a cuboid shape which, using the exude button, I created a new geometry for the top face, then I pushed this face down to create the container itself. After this I removed the back face to make way for the tailgate which opens to tip out the contents of the container. So to form this tailgate I made a thinned cube and I lined the whole container minus the door section with thinned down cubes and cuboid shapes, to give the sides of the container a thic...

Twenty Two Week Blog Post for Project

Image
Project Blog Week Twenty Two: This  is my twenty second blog post for my modelling project, on the previous blog post I decided that I would make a toy crane and dumper truck to go into my toy shop scene which contains toys for all ages. The first toy out of these two options I decided to create was the dumper truck and I thought it would be a good idea to make it an  early leaning  toy for young children, as up till now I had only the toy blocks and the mobile phones. The first task in making this truck was to create a cube that would act as the drivers cab, then I made thinned down cubes that formed the front windscreen and side windows and put them into the right places. After this was done I put in the grill of the truck, the licence plate and the lights which were made out of cubes shaped to the right size, I then placed them all into the right sections on the truck. Then I shaped cubes into rectangular shapes to outline the front windscreen and the fo...

Twenty One Week Blog Post for Project

Project Blog Week Twenty One: This  is my twenty first blog post for my modelling project, the last objects that I created were mobile phones for young children. I have now decided to move on to another object but  I wasn't  sure what to do, so I went on to the internet to see what sort of toys were available. The two objects that I thought would be good to make for the shop were a dumper truck and a crane. I looked around on YouTube to find a tutorial for these two objects but I couldn't find one that would help me, so I decided to try and find an image that I could use as a reference or just a picture to see how they look. This week it was hard to do much work on my project because I had other work that needed to be done, but having said that I did mange to do some research into ideas that I could create for my shop. I had a look at  a variety of cranes from the simple early leaning cranes to the more complex Meccano one's, as well as that I also looked a...
